What Dua Lock is
Dua Lock is a personal wellness tool that uses Apple's Screen Time framework to temporarily restrict access to apps you choose, inviting you to make brief dua (supplication) or dhikr (remembrance) before unlocking them. It is not a substitute for scholarly religious guidance, medical advice, or professional mental health support.
Religious content
The duas, dhikr, names of Allah, and English translations included in the app are drawn from established Islamic sources, including the Qur'an and authenticated hadith collections. We make a best effort to attribute and verify them, but we are not religious scholars.
The AI-generated rationale shown inside the names of Allah helper is generated by a third-party language model based on your typed situation. It is for guidance only and is not a fatwa. If you have questions about religious practice, please consult a qualified scholar.
Your use of the app
You agree to:
- Use the app only for lawful personal purposes.
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, redistribute, or modify the app.
- Not use the app to harm yourself or others.
The app is provided to support your own choices about screen time and worship. We do not guarantee outcomes, including but not limited to changes in habits, mental health, or spiritual practice.
Free trial and subscription
Dua Lock offers a free trial that converts to an auto-renewing subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel. The current pricing and trial length are shown to you inside the app before you start. Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple ID Subscriptions settings.
Refunds are subject to Apple's refund policy and not handled by Dua Lock directly. To request a refund, use reportaproblem.apple.com.
Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided as is without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Dua Lock and its developers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the app, including loss of data, productivity, or peace of mind.
Changes to the app or these Terms
We may update the app or these Terms at any time. Material changes to the Terms will be surfaced inside the app on next launch. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the app if you violate these Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Helsinki, Finland, unless a non-waivable consumer protection law of your country of residence requires otherwise.
